 AGAINST ALL ODDS CONFERENCE
June 1-3, 2008
GA Center for Continuing Education
UGA, Athens, Georgia
This conference is designed to bring together people with developmental disabilities, family members, service providers, support coordinators, and policy makers to explore what is possible now as Georgia increases investment of public funds in individualized, person-directed supports.
Leaders from across the country who provide and coordinate person-centered supports will share what they are learning and leaders from Georgia will reflect on our own learning, the assets we have to build with, and the challenges we face. We will together envision what is possible for the future as we work together with passion, hope, faith, and courage.
Sponsored by: GCDD and GA MHDDAD.

 GA LIBRARY-ACCESSIBLE SERVICES
 GEORGIA RELAY
PARTNER
The state of Georgia is committed to ensuring
all citizens have access to useful, reliable options and features that enable them to communicate by telephone. For everyone, including people who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech disabled, Georgia offers an important public service called Georgia Relay. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Georgia Relay allows Georgians to keep in touch by phone easily—and often—with their business associates, friends and families.
To make a Georgia Relay call, just dial 7-1-1.
CapTel?
Developed by Ultratec and available exclusively through Georgia Relay, CapTel works like any other phone—with one important difference. Using the latest in voice recognition software, CapTel displays every word the caller says. So you can hear what’s being said—and read the captioned conversation on a bright display screen. Best of all, the CapTel captioning service is free.
