We believe that all individuals regardless of type or level
of disability, have the basic human right to live safe and self determined lives. This becomes a reality when people with disabilities are valued members of our communities. IHDD works for the social and systems-change necessary for all Georgia citizens to live lives free of abuse and exploitation, with control over their own resources. As community participants, individuals with disabilities speak for themselves and advocate for changes that will allow them to be more self-sufficient and inclusive in the community.
More resources and assistive technology have enhanced their lives and allowed them to have their voices heard around the world.
