EMPLOYMENT FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES

Customized Employment provides...
Real Jobs, Real Money, and Real Life Opportunities.
Through assistive technology, many individuals with disabilities are working in the community in roles of distinction. Many employers are customizing jobs for individuals with disabilities who are qualified and with minor modifications would work well in their businesses. Public businesses are modifying entrances, restrooms, retail space, and parking spaces to accommodate wheelchair access.
Individuals with disabilities may access the UGA Employment website: http://www.hr.uga.edu/, to view job listings.
Customized Employment assists people to attain valued roles in their communities.
AgrAbility in GA works with individuals in the farming community who have a disability to increase their ability to perform current or new work tasks on the farm. They strive to decrease the potential for acquiring a secondary injury, and increase independence at home and in the community. AgrAbility in Georgia is a partnership between The University of Georgia's Cooperative Extension Service in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and The Institute on Human Development and Disability in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
