PARENTS SUPPORTING PARENTS

Ashley Rentz, the Parent Liaison Coordinator at IHDD, facilitates a support group, Parents Supporting Parents, sponsored by the IHDD, that meets the second Tuesday of each month from 10:00-11:30 a.m. during the school year. She provides information on trainings, social events, respite care, and much more, via e-mail to over 85 families.

Ashley joined the IHDD team in September 2008 with an extensive background in supporting families of children with special health care needs. She has provided training, information, one-on-one support, and served on boards, committees and councils representing the interests of families of children with special needs in Georgia, Florida and Arkansas.

In addition,  Ashley was instumental in organizing the Clarke / Oconee / Oglethorpe / Madison Navigator Team to assist families in the Northeast Georgia region.
