Families become stronger through IHDD outreach and training for parents, service providers and professionals.

IHDD has developed and piloted a curriculum for high school students on disability rights and self-advocacy. IHDD collaborated with a local school district and a transition council and has developed and implemented increased opportunities for high school students to work in the community. IHDD has developed a comprehensive system of in-service training for youth workers focusing on building on the assets of both youth and the communities in which they live focused on increasing the behavioral, developmental and health status of Georgia’s youth, including youth with disabilities.
